Horten is a DLA Piper Focus Firm, and is a Danish limited liability partnership and is thereby covered by the provisions of the Danish Public Companies Act. Organisationally, the firm is structured as a traditional law firm with a partner group and a board of directors.

The firm has six legal groups focused on central business areas and with partners as group heads. The management and the legal groups are supported by the administration consisting of five staff functions.
