Bjørn is a partner in the Oslo office and leads the Real Estate and Construction group in Norway. He is also a member of our global Executive Committee for Real Estate.

Bjørn has extensive experience in all real estate matters, including property transfers and investments. His experience in investment funds and companies is complimented by a thorough corporate and tax understanding. He advises clients on all types of strategic investments and transactions.

Bjørn is a member of the board of several private companies as well as a member of the Norwegian Bar Association (1984). He is also on the Board of the Norwegian branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA).

Bjorn studied at the University of Oslo (Candidate of Jurisprudence 1980) and speaks the Scandinavian languages and English.

Key experience:

• advising one of Norway’s largest real estate investment companies since its establishment in the late 1980s on a number of major real estate transactions
• advising several of the largest residential developers in the acquisition, purchase and development of large residential areas and complex residential projects
• advising several large real estate investment funds and companies established by Fondsfinans ASA on all their investments
• advising a major international facilities management service provider (FMS) on all its purchases and contracts as well as developing its FMS business in Norway
• advising a developer and construction firm building in the Kolbotn city centre
• advising the seller of Saga Petroleum's head office in Sandvika, outside Oslo
• advising the seller of the new head office of Asics Shield on a forward contract
• advising a seller on reorganising, financing and selling a major office centre of 75,000m2 to an investment group
• advising a major industrial tenant (office and production) on negotiating a new “bare boat” lease for offices and production facilities in Asker, outside Oslo
• advising on the purchase and development of a residential area of the Pilestredet park in Oslo
